Sometimes underlying banking infrastructure can have issues which can cause transfers to go to an intermediate state before being completed

Bank Transfer

  1. If the beneficiary bank fails to send transfer acknowledgment in real-time we move such transfers to an intermediate Pending/Initiated state. Bank transfers can remain in the Pending state for upto 2 working days from the date of the transaction. In such cases, the final status will get updated by the third day.
  2. If you do not receive the final status confirmation (Success or Failure) even after 3 days, please reach out to the merchant.

PayTM Transfer

PayTM transfers can remain in the Pending state for up to 7 working days. These can happen because of two primary reasons:

  1. PayTM wallet is created against the provided mobile number, but the customer has not done any KYC.
  2. PayTM wallet has been created with minimal KYC, but the recipient has reached her monthly limit for minimal KYC.

In the above cases, the recipient can get the complete KYC done with 5 days and receive the funds. If the recipient fails to complete their KYC, the transfer request would be moved to a failed state after 7 working days.
